Introduction
The Royal Mail are producing a series of commemorative stamps to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The stamps illustrate the 29 various Olympic and Paralympic sports that will be contested during the Games. They are being issued in 3 sets of 10 stamps (Athletics is being issued as 2 stamps - track and field), one in 2009, one in 2010 and the final set in 2011.
They are also issuing 4 Olympic and Paralympic definitive stamps for general use during 2012.
